Futtage (v2.0) is the full suite: join multiple clips, optionally trim the result, and upload directly to YouTube. Futtage Cutter (v1.0) is a focused standalone tool that only trims a single video — ideal if you don't need joining or YouTube upload.
Yes, completely. No subscriptions, no premium tier, no watermarks. Both tools are free under the MIT license. Source code is on GitHub.
FFmpeg is bundled — no manual install needed. For YouTube upload, Futtage uses the
YouTube Data API v3. You'll need a Google Cloud project with the API enabled and OAuth 2.0 credentials
configured in appsettings.json
before uploading. Local video processing works without any API setup.
Never. Futtage uses FFmpeg's stream copy mode (-c copy),
which skips re-encoding entirely. Your output is bit-for-bit identical to the original within the
processed range.
